Senior School Curriculum
Our Senior School curriculum offers students a wide range of Stage 1 and 2 subjects.
Students in Year 10 study core subjects to build on the knowledge, skills and understanding they have developed in earlier years. These subjects include: English, Mathematics, HASS, Science, PLP (Personal Learning Plan) and Health and Movement. In Year 10 students have a wide choice of subjects to choose from to complete their Year 10 studies including: Music, Indonesian, and Specialist Sport.
In Years 11 and 12 students get the opportunity to study subjects like Work Place Practises (a Year 12 subject) and Year12 students studying Physics, Chemistry and Specialist Mathematics undertake their studies at UniSA Mawson Lakes campus. Tutorials are held back at school to support these students to be successful. Community Studies connects students with the wider community through volunteer work and fund raising to complete the requirements of this subject. At Year 12 the support teachers and university mentors also play an important role in developing skills for our students to be successful.
Through a wide range of subject choices and excellent support the Paralowie Senior School enables students to pursue study in their individual interests in the senior years.
